Digital Project Management System for Water Supply Construction Monitoring – SWSM Maharashtra

Digital Project Management System for Water Supply Construction Monitoring – SWSM Maharashtra

The Assignment

State Water & Sanitation Mission (SWSM), Maharashtra required a centralized digital platform to manage and monitor the implementation of 924 multi-village water supply schemes across multiple regions.

The assignment focused on bringing project information, construction progress and monitoring workflows into a common digital environment, enabling better visibility of scheme execution, timelines, costs and field-level progress.

Our Approach

CS TECH Ai implemented a Digital Project Management System (DPMS) integrating GIS, project data and field-level progress information to provide centralized monitoring of water supply construction projects.

The engagement included:

  • Implementation of a Digital Project Management System (DPMS)
  • Development of a GIS-based application for project and progress monitoring
  • Establishment of a Common Data Environment (CDE)
  • Actual progress monitoring across water supply schemes
  • Integration with CPMS and e-MB applications
  • Centralized Control & Command Centre setup
  • Data migration and publishing
  • Helpdesk management system
  • Resource deployment across regions for operations, maintenance and progress-monitoring support
  • Centralized dashboards for monitoring project implementation

The integrated environment provided a common platform for tracking scheme-level information and construction progress across geographically distributed projects.

Impact

Enabled centralized monitoring of 924 multi-village water supply schemes.
Improved visibility of project execution, progress, timelines and budgets.
Created a single source of truth for project information through centralized data management.
Supported early identification and mitigation of potential cost overruns.
Standardized project-management workflows and practices across schemes.
Streamlined contract management and communication workflows.
Enabled more effective monitoring and tracking of geographically distributed water supply projects.
