The Assignment
State Water & Sanitation Mission (SWSM), Maharashtra required a digital monitoring framework to improve visibility of rural water distribution across villages, districts and the state level.
The objective was to monitor rural water supply in near real time, enabling better tracking of service-delivery uptime, minimisation of water losses and more equitable distribution of water across rural water supply schemes.
Our Approach
CS TECH Ai implemented an integrated monitoring solution combining IoT sensors, GIS-based asset mapping and centralized command and control capabilities to provide greater visibility of water supply infrastructure and its operation.
The engagement included:
- GIS mapping of rural water supply assets
- Integration of IoT sensors with water supply infrastructure
- Centralized Control & Command Centre setup
- Near real-time monitoring of equipment operation
- Asset benchmarking across multiple locations
- GIS-based asset and operational visualization
- Monitoring of water distribution and service delivery
- Centralized visibility across village, district and state levels
By integrating field-level IoT data with spatial asset information, the solution enabled water supply infrastructure and equipment performance to be viewed and monitored through a common digital environment.
